The man who brought us uplifting anthems such as 'RAMsterdam' and 'RAMazing' has a new musical mask to wear in the form of Gecko, an aliases which by the sounds of 'Departures' is set to be a deeper outlet. That's not to say this is dark or anything other than captivating, with plenty of trickling melodies and shimmering atmospherics.. just slightly stripped back and with a low-register pumping edge (which we are feeling, big time). It shows a true talented producer to vary styles so effortlessly, and we are looking forward to more from Gecko.
