Release Description:
'Year 2' is here! A compilation that we enjoy putting together as it may spotlight a track or two that you missed or forgot about, because even we went "oh yeahhhh..love that track!". 'Year 2' for Nueva Digital got even better than 'Year 1' if you can believe it. Here's to last year and many more great years ahead, with love from all of us here at Nueva...Enjoy! Where do we start? How about one of the break out artists for Nueva as Alfoa took the reigns on remixing a few tracks for us last year and Ad Brown's 'L.A.' being the standout among them. We couldn't have a best of this year without including the progressive genius Jody Wisternoff and his completely different re-work of Fusion F and Come T's massive prog track 'Blue River'. Quite a stunning remix from Jody! Deserving a second look is the always classy Paul Keeley as he made his debut earlier on in the year on Nueva Prog with his exceptionally well produced remix of Juspio's 'Boomerang'! A track that has garnered numerous radio plays from some of the biggest player's in the industry incl. Marcus Schossows Tone Diary, we just had to feature Justin Oh's magnificent original 'A Different Place'. Another Nueva Prog debut by up and coming United Arab Emerates producer and 'one to look out for' Ninesh Babu's 'Eighty One' still blows us away with his ingenuity and originality. Just over half way through the compilation and Ad Brown can't escape our 'best of' as he's the only one to be featured twice, but he's just that good..and his remix of Adam Oland's 'Moodaka' is...just that good! Recently released on Nueva Prog and featured on too many radio shows to list here, Dezza's amazing work on New York's Zack Roth and his track 'Wils Lives' makes the cut as well. Delving into our Nueva Deep imprint and fresh off our 50th release, we think not including this remix by House Legend DJ Chus and his classic 'Iberican' sound would be a mortal sin. Nueva Tech regular Rodrigo Deem put out an amazing EP and this release happened to feature one of our favourite go-to artists D-Formation and his mind blowing take on 'Rehab'! Almost at the end we save the best for last and earlier this year we we're fortunate to welcome the UK duo of Solarity as they absolutely rocked our socks off and probably blew our speakers as well with their fantastic remix of Kenneth Thomas' 'Staircase Monster' on Nueva Tech. Now usually we limit our 'Best Of' compilations to 10 tracks but we couldn't narrow it down to that arbitrary number and have to include one of Progressive's most prolific and talented producers at the moment. Matao's 'Anastasia' is simply a breath taking accomplishment for Nueva and music.
