Whichever guise they take on, Alfie Granger-Howell and Nick Harriman continue to make an impact on the electronic music world. Following a Pete Tong Essential Contender with their forthcoming Dusky release “Lost Highway”, the boys return to their familiar Solarity moniker, which has recently seen them garner attention from the likes of Eric Prydz and Laurent Garnier.
Meandering through a sonic landscape of unique sounds, “Apricots” is a hypnotic, intoxicating melodic tech gem. With rolling bass and a warm reverberating lead, "Apricots" unwinds beautifully - washing over you in waves of smooth funk.
The deepest of the trio, “Stellwagen” unites a rich timbre of percussion with classic house grooves and robust synthesisers for an emotive underground sound.
“Microtones” once again displays the Solarity's diverse command of electronic sounds. Progressive synth riffs support a melodic techno groove, while a falling pitch lead plays above a textured bottom end.
